Back 2 School Campaign

Compared to their housed peers, children experiencing homelessness are 87 percent more likely to drop out of school.

Our goal is to ensure homeless children living in group homes and shelters throughout Metro Atlanta have the supplies they need to succeed in school. This ensures that these kids arrive on their first day of class prepared and feeling like their most confident selves. Our Back 2 School Campaign not only provides homeless children with the critical supplies they need for school, but it also offers them something even more valuable: a chance to succeed.

Without this program, many of these children would show up on their first day of class empty-handed. The majority of the children we serve arrive at a group home or shelter with barely more than the clothes on their backs, much less the supplies they need for school. Without the proper supplies, many of these students would feel left out or unprepared. That is why it is critical that we provide these students with the supplies they need to succeed in school.
